The fully funded, self-insured Group Health Trust operates on the premise of spreading risk with cost saving advantages of group purchasing which provides more stability during annual renewals. The Pool is governed by representatives of each participating entity. Members play an active role in the decision making process that enables the entity to be more responsive to their employees’ healthcare needs.
